Hi, I'm Ashley.
I have always had a love for serving people. As a graduate fresh out of high school, I traveled abroad as a humanitarian aid/missionary. Upon my return to the states, I worked in the medical field as a CMA. Although I loved my patients, I still felt something was missing.
In 2016 my husband and I were expecting twins and we hired a doula to be at our birth. The experience completely changed my life and how I view the birthing process. I knew this is what I was born to do! A few years later I furthered my education and became a certified childbirth educator.
I get so frustrated in today’s culture, because we are encouraged to “take charge” of our lives and bodies, but that doesn’t seem to be the case when it comes to women in labor. We’ve all heard stories of mothers who felt completely powerless during the birth of their children. How a women remembers her birth can greatly affect the rest of her life. Was it a traumatic experience or a beautiful one? What I’ve learned throughout my years of being an educator, doula, and mother, is labor does not have to be traumatizing. The birth of your children can be a beautiful and empowering moment that you can cherish the rest of your life.
I am honored to serve families in DFW and the surrounding areas.
